Led by an Executive Chef, our Culinary Department is second to none. This team creatively approaches their mission to help clients re-establish a positive and balanced relationship with food. Clients are introduced to a wide variety of foods through our diverse seasonal menus. Clients also engage in cooking classes which are individualized to fit the needs of the current client group with topics including basic cooking methods and meal planning.
Within the local community, Avalon Hills is known for its participation in Cache Valley’s Annual Chocolate Festival. Each year, under the direction of the culinary department, clients prepare and enter a dessert in the Festival. Our residents’ entries have won many years running. Overall, clients are taught the importance of enjoying food and use this experience to give back to a local charity.
