Alyssa Richards, MSW, LCSW

Alyssa stepped into a primary therapist role with Avalon Hills in November of 2023. Before joining Avalon, she worked as a therapist at a mental health clinic in Cache Valley and a residential program for addiction. Alyssa also spent six years as a direct care staff, helping adults with intellectual disabilities in Utah County–a job she loved.

Alyssa received her BS in Psychology at Brigham young University and MS in Social Work at Utah State University. She is most passionate about addiction recovery, educating teenagers and young adults about their innate worth as human beings, and debunking the myths of mental illness. Outside of work, you can find Alyssa playing whatever sport is in season with a #4 Turkey Tom in hand.
