Jessica Barker, MSW, CSW

Jessica recently stepped into the role of primary therapist at Avalon Hills. She began working for Avalon in August 2022 as a Direct Care Staff member before transitioning into the neurofeedback technician position. After gaining experience with Avalon in the neuro department, Jess made the decision that it was time to achieve her dream of becoming a therapist. Jess received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Utah State University and then attended the University of Utah for her Master’s of Social Work.

In her work, Jess really loves getting to know the clients individually and being able to work with them one-on-one. She enjoys seeing the change that Avalon’s residents are capable of. Outside of work, Jess enjoys reading, swimming, hanging out with friends, and spending time outdoors.
